Membru al Grupului 9 V\u00e2n\u0103toare, \u201eB\u00e2zu\u201d doboar\u0103, \u00eentre 29 iunie \u015fi 5 august 1943, 15 avioane inamice \u2013 un adev\u0103rat record de front. Dup\u0103 \u00eentoarcerea armelor, este singurul pilot care reu\u0219e\u0219te s\u0103 doboare un aparat german FW-190 \u2013 diferite topuri interna\u021bionale \u00eel plaseaz\u0103 pe locul al \u015faselea ca valoare combativ\u0103, cu 60 de victorii<\/p>\n<p>Dup\u0103 r\u0103zboi, se \u00eentoarce la activitatea civil\u0103 ca pilot-\u015fef la societatea de transport pasageri LARES. \u00cen 1947, duce la Paris delega\u0163ia guvernamental\u0103 a Rom\u00e2niei ce va semna Tratatul de Pace cu Puterile Aliate \u015fi Asociate. Din acel an, \u201eB\u00e2zu\u201d se vede \u00een imposibilitatea de a mai zbura, fiind supravegheat de Securitate.<br>\n\u00cen februarie 1948, dup\u0103 o curs\u0103 de pasageri \u00een Italia, nu se mai \u00eentoarce \u00een \u021bar\u0103.
