De\u0219i aeronava a fost un &#8222;singur scop&#8221; de mare vitez\u0103, prototip, experimental, s-a sperat ca numele s\u0103u sa fie asociat si sa bata performanta cu Bf 109 care era deja in functiune de lupt\u0103.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"times-new-roman\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Me 209 a fost construit \u00een 1937 \u0219i partajate numai de Daimler-Benz DB motor 601 cu Bf 109, care \u00een 209 a fost echipat cu abur de r\u0103cire. Willy Messerschmitt a conceput aeronave de mici dimensiuni, cu o cabina de pilotaj plasat\u0103 mult \u00een spate, de-a lungul fuzelajului chiar \u00een fa\u021ba sa, sec\u021biunea unic\u0103 a cozii \u00een form\u0103 de cruce. Spre deosebire de Bf 109, 209 Me a prezentat un larg ecartament montat, \u00een sec\u021biunea aripii.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"times-new-roman\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Teste<\/b><\/span><\/p><p class=\"times-new-roman\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Aeronavele \u0219i-au atins scopul atunci c\u00e2nd pilotul de \u00eencercare Fritz Wendel a zburat la un nou record mondial de viteza, de aproape 756 kilometri pe or\u0103 (469 mph) \u00een data de 26 aprilie 1939, purt\u00e2nd \u00eenregistrarea civil\u0103 german\u0103 D-INJR. Acest record nu a fost oficial rupt de o alt\u0103 aeronav\u0103 cu piston-motor, p\u00e2n\u0103 la 16 august 1969, de c\u0103tre Darryl Greenamyer.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"times-new-roman\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ideea de a adapta Me 209 cal de curse pentru rolul de lupt\u0103tor a luat amploare atunci c\u00e2nd, \u00een timpul b\u0103t\u0103liei din Marea Britanie, Bf 109 nu a reu\u0219it s\u0103 c\u00e2\u0219tige superioritatea asupra Spitfire Supermarine RAF.
