La scurt timp dup\u0103 aceasta, Mircea Cantacuzino deschide prima \u015fcoal\u0103 civil\u0103 de pilotaj din Rom\u00e2nia \u201e\u2026f\u0103r\u0103 ini\u0163iativa domnului Cantacuzino, nimeni nu s-ar fi g\u0103sit pentru a face ce a f\u0103cut domnia sa, iar azi \u00eenc\u0103, nici o mi\u015fcare aviatic\u0103 \u00een sensul turismului nu s-ar fi manifestat sub cerul \u0163\u0103rii noastre. C\u0103ci mi\u015fcarea mai veche \u00eenceput\u0103 de Aeroclub prin avioneta \u201ePotez\u201d a principelui Bibescu \u015fi aceea \u00eenc\u0103 mai veche a Aeroclubului Albastru prin avioneta \u201eAvia\u201d proprietatea sa, s-au limitat la o singur\u0103 persoan\u0103 pentru un aeroclub \u015fi la un cerc mult prea limitat \u015fi \u00een orice caz tot de zbur\u0103tori, pentru cel\u0103lalt aeroclub\u201d. Mircea Cantacuzino accidenteaz\u0103 \u00eens\u0103 iremediabil avioneta \u0219i este nevoit s\u0103 cumpere un alt aparat cu care, \u00een data de 26 septembrie 1928, se reiau zborurile. <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen 1930, Mircea Cantacuzino efectueaz\u0103 \u015fi zboruri cu pasageri. Din p\u0103cate va pieri chiar \u00eentr-un astfel de zbor, la 25 mai 1930, pr\u0103bu\u015findu-se pe \u015foseaua Otopeni \u2013 B\u0103neasa. \u201cUn grav accident de avion, c\u0103ruia i-a c\u0103zut victim\u0103 inginerul Mircea Cantacuzino, a fost \u00eenregistrat asear\u0103 la orele 7.30 la B\u0103neasa. La acea or\u0103, ing. Mrcea Cantacuzino care este comisarul sportiv al Aeroclubului Rom\u00e2niei \u015fi director al \u015fcolii de avia\u0163ie particular\u0103, f\u0103cea un zbor de agrement pe avioneta d-sale, av\u00e2nd ca pasager\u0103 pe d-na Colette G. Polizu-Mic\u015fune\u015fti\u2026 Dup\u0103 ce evoluase deasupra B\u0103nesei, se re\u00eentorcea spre c\u00e2mpul de aterizaj. O gre\u015feal\u0103 de pilotaj, l-a cobor\u00e2t prea jos, \u00een dreptul c\u00e2rciumei lui M. M\u0103rculescu de pe \u015foseaua Otopeni-B\u0103neasa \u015fi c\u00e2nd \u015fi-a dat seama de gre\u015feal\u0103, era prea t\u00e2rziu. Avioneta nu a mai putut fi repus\u0103 \u00een func\u0163iune, pr\u0103bu\u015findu-se peste chio\u015fcul cu gr\u0103tarul c\u00e2rciumei, sf\u0103r\u00e2m\u00e2ndu-se complet\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>D-na Colette G. Polizu-Micsunesti s-a ales numai cu c\u00e2teva leziuni f\u0103r\u0103 gravitate \u015fi o spaim\u0103 lesne de \u00eenchipuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen stare muribund\u0103, ing.
