Officers no. 1 from Bucharest and the Tecuci Pilot School. He followed, in France, a training course in flight and the art of piloting without visibility. In 1928, together with Mircea Cantacuzino, he founded the first sports piloting school (civilian).<\/p><p>He becomes the piloting instructor of Mircea Cantacuzino and many other future famous pilots. To popularize aviation among young people, they organize aviation rallies in various cities: Caracal, Corabia, Calafat, Slatina, Piatra Olt, Alexandria, Turnu M\u0103gurele, Zimnicea, Giurgiu and Ro\u015fiorii de Vede.<\/p><p>He begins to participate in aviation competitions abroad. In 1929, he flies on the Bucharest - Iasi - Warsaw - Prague - Belgrade - Bucharest route and wins the \"Aerial Round the Country\" competition, being rewarded with the \"Mircea Zorileanu Cup\".<\/p><p>In 1931, he made a non-stop raid on the route Bucharest - Warsaw - Bucharest, and in August 1931, he made another training flight on the route Bucharest - London.<\/p><p>Died in an accident at Pipera Airport on November 25, 1931, during a test flight. His name, lieutenant-aviator Octav Oculeanu, is engraved in stone on the plinth of the Heroes of the Air monument in Bucharest, on Aviatorilor Boulevard.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><footer><div
